Valance comparison

Does a lower valance from a car that has diving boards fit in a car with plastic bumpers? Are they the same?

The reason I am asking is that I have an 87 325i with diving boards and the lower valance is still in good shape and I want to put it in my 89 325is which has a plastic bumper because it already mangled when I bought it.

I've seen it done on this forum, not sure what brackets or what it took to mount it.

Someone on here did it, it looked very akward though, like the car had a huge upper lip and no chin.

you will need to drill holes in the metal valence for the PB side brackets. Also, the late model fog lights won't work with an early model valence.

That's an early early valence but you get the idea. The 87 one will be shorter even.
