Moving from GA to PA (preparing for snow)

Back-story: Im currently on my 4th e30. I live in the north ga mtn's currently. Here i dont have much worry about snow or winter weather since mostly everything shuts down.

Im going to be making a move about an hr north of Pittsburgh PA. I would love to stay in an e30 but the only real option i see is a 325ix. (im actively looking)

Now i guess my question is what would the users of r3v have to recomend? the only thing that pops into my head is subaru and i know next to nothing about them.

My current e30 is an early model 318 m50 swaped blah blah...
Would snow tires make it possible to navigate area's like where im moving to?

It snows about 5 or 10 days out of the year. Any old 325i with snowtires does the trick just fine.

As mentioned before, you'll be fine with a 'standard-issue' E30 with a good set of snows. I live in New England, have had my E30 for two winters -- and this one was a killer -- with no major issues. A lot of problems occur with lack of driver ability.

A winter safety course at Team O'Neil might be a good idea too. They have a couple of non iX E30s as school cars and they're in the White Mountains of NH. YouTube some videos by Wyatt Knox. You can even use your own car.

Either way, welcome to the Northeast!

I'm in Dahlonega too. Might have seen you around. Did you have a black db car and recently get a plastic bumper car?

Learn to drive in the snow, get a set of winters and you'll be fine.

if your car is rust free leave it in GA. if you plan to get a non raped e30 in the northeast, stay in GA. If theres lead way in either of those two options either, get snow tires, or enjoy your ix in winter as it should be.

Welcome to the east. ashame your very much still in the west.
