    Early-mid 90's Rx7's?

Buddy of mine is looking into 92 and up Rx7s, wanted me to ask your opinions of them. Are they reliable, junkers, money pits, etc? I personally don't like the styling of them, but whatever floats his boat.

maintance is a biatch on all rx7s. if he can find one in good condition and has to money to maintan them then go for it other then that the engine is junk if not maintaned.
      I go wuaaaaaahh pssssshhhhh!!!!

fd's are amazing cars. handle beautifully, and tons of potential from that powerplant. Yes, rotaries do flood sometimes, they are maintenance heavy, etc etc, but it's worth it. Just make sure to have another daily driver for when it's down.

As long as there are some good Rotary specialist in the area, why not.

Rotaries are worshipped here...... Horrible torqueless things that sit at the lights going 'wooop wooop wooop'......

also make sure to keep a quart or two of oil in the car as they like to burn it.

It'd hard to tell unless you try it yourself. You talk to someone who doesnt own a rotary and they'll say the car is horrible. You talk to someone who owns one and it suddenly becomes the most amazing engine design ever.

From what I gather, if e30s require certain preventive maintenance to keep running strong forever, rotaries require 10x as much. I've seen FCs take a shit for no reason to FCs that people just try to blow their engines and just cant.

In the end, it should all come down to how much you take care of it. The keyword to a rotary is oil. Let it get too low and your engine is as good as dead.

Beyond that, FDs are incredibly fast, and handle obnoxiously well. And the car is probably one of the best looking designs ever concieved in the automotive industry.

PUT A LS1 IN OR BAN.

No problems with rotary anymore, and lighter even.

My roommate has an fd. I believe hes got under 100k on it, and he has had to rebuild the rotary twice. It was pretty darn fast when it was running, but his car sees a lot of downtime. Looks so nice though, and I love the interior.

My best friend has a 93 rx7. I love it. They are fast as hell and handle really well. If I had the money I would own one.

I know way too much about the 2nd gen, and I hate them. Stupid cars with their ports and apex seals. Their exhaust fumes go out on Halloween and kill small children and pets. Emissions testing is a week long process. You can't drive it for less than 5 minutes or the motor will flood. Do I need to say more?

When a 318is is faster than a non-boosted version, you know something is up.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.
