I was looking into buy one then I read about changing the rotors(in the engine) every 45k miles and them overheating like a bitch in stop and go traffic. Fun cars to drive, theyh pick up well and handle really well but the exhaust note is horrible. The turbo arent too bad, just find one that doesnt have an intake mod and not some kind of airflow tuning, a lot of ricers put intakes on these and it leans them out and causes them to overheat like a bitch. Id get a 300zx over and Rx-7 even though they dont handle as well, low maintenence 4 wheel steering more space and bullet proof biturbo 3.0 V6.
lol since when is a 300zx bulletproof? I love the cars, and have many friends with z32 tt's. But they do need a lot of work, constant maintenance, constant work. There is NO room in that engine bay to work, lol. And yes, they are big and piggish, more of a touring/gt car.
the rex is cool as you can get some high power out of it, and it handles great. Different class from the Z i think

Highly agreed.
We own an 87 FC convertible with the 13A engine. Great 2nd or 3rd car to own. I don't know too much about rotary power though.

Okay I'll give you the fact that you cant fit your hand very easily between the engine and the inner fender, all of the the Z32's that I have driven (tt and na) have taken quite a bit of abuse without showing any signs of heat soak. They havent had any oil leaks and or any other serious maintence, just basic stuff. Well with new shocks and springs I wouldnt call it piggish I would call it more planted, the car weighs what 3000-3200 that is a hair more than an E30, I am used to driving mustangs and firebirds and they are around 3200-3800 and to me the Z feels pretty good with newish parts.
My friend had a turbo rx7 (fc I guess? nfc what the difference is). He had it fully rebuilt, and I started to seriously think "Wow that car is fast, and since the engine is fresh, that thing is going to be fast for awhile. I should get one of those".
