Interesting observation I hadn't realized that. The rear seat is way cleaner...
Well I put it away during winter, and had been glancing at it, I knew there was moisture inside of it... but I just didn't know this was coming. The past 2 weeks it has been warming up (50s max) and I'm pretty sure that's when it has been happening.
I would junk the shell and look for a new one... if I had the time to pick a good shell to start with. Maybe my mom had the best idea (which I've NEVER said before), which was gut all of my parts out of the car and junk the shell. Keep my s50, coilovers, diff, trans, etc etc and try to find a new shell. Just wasn't really prepared for that expense at the moment. No job - fixed income until summer...
... Or gut the car and drive with one new drivers seat until I find a shell.
This thread is giving me nightmares about taking the cover off my car this weekend when I'm home from school for spring break.
I would gut the car, steam clean the carpet and upholstery and spray a combination of bleach and water on everything and go to town. It's worth a shot, just be sure not to breathe that shit in. Good luck whatever you end up doing with it.

Luckily, it doesn't smell yet. I think it's pretty fresh.
I think I'll throw everything away that isn't a hard surface, and then buy a new seat for myself in the front. And use the spray recommended a page back by the guy who got the mold out of his cars.
I don't want to be breathing this shit.
Luckily it's just a 7/10 tan interior, seats weren't in great shape. Nothing to cry about, just 350 dollars or so in used shit.
