^ nice score!
There is just something about finishing off the job by torquing to spec with a nice trq wrench. Makes you feel like one of the guys on the finishing line at M in Garching...Leave a comment:

No, the camshaft can. The valves push upward on the cam and can supposedly break the cam due to uneven pressure. So you use that tool to relieve the pressure slowly and evenly.Leave a comment:

Very nice, I ended up keeping the GearWrench selector switch, I thought it had a better feel. After seeing your pics I think I'm definitely going to pick up both the 1/4" and 3/8" flex head ratchets and hot-rod 'em. I always find my buddy's incredibly handy and I don't have any of my own.I just did this. Just got a 1/4 and 3/8 Gearwrench flex set, tossed the ratchets and replaced 'em with Matco 88s. I've actually been very impressed with Gearwrench stuff so far, but the 88 tooth ratchet is much nicer.
Can't wait to try 'em out. Should only be another day or two, seeing as I have an E30 and all.Leave a comment:

So basically, I got a full set of 88 tooth ratchets for ~$130 with shipping. The difference is night and day as compared to Craftsman and I highly suggest this "swap" to anyone.
Part numbers are as follows.
Matco 88 tooth rebuild kits:
AFR8TK (1/4")
BFR8TK (3/8")
CFR8TK (1/2")
GearWrench 60 tooth ratchets:
81011 (1/4")
81211 (3/8")
81304 (1/2")
Here are the new arrivals next to my old GW swivel heads.
