I can't remember if this is early model specific or not, but I'm pretty sure you can remove the plastic caps where the handles for crank up windows would be and put them up manually. Again, not sure if late models can do this, if they can there should be a tool to do it in the trunk's toolkit.'86 325es M50Comment

got the windows up with the allen key, although the sockets started stripping almost immediately so i had to push/pull them up while i did that... the sockets are almost completely stripped into circles. anyway, i got them up.. tomorrow ill take the door cover off and check the motor and the connectors

in the fuse box
they are controlled by the ignition switch/jumper wire on the starter. if it's not hooked up right, they don't work.Comment
