Nah. 45. the speed limit. But when the car spun I was already close to the tree. So i hit the tree at like 43 mph.

Can you salvage anything from the car to sell to help you get another E30, or to swap oer to a new one?
Yes. The front struts survived, it has good m3 sways GC coils. All that is ok. but the block is leaking oil so that may be shot.

45 in a snowstorm is too fast.

Sucks that you R3V'ed your car, but just the fact that you posted up that you R3V'ed it shows you've got a sense of humor about it.

Looking at that pic, I don't think that RF strut is any good.

Look a little harder at the engine, I seriously doubt the block is leaking oil, maybe the oil pan is cracked, or the oil filter or housing got damaged, or the cooler lines or the cooler itself. If you shut the car off, or it shut itself off quickly after the wreck, the engine is probably OK.

This is true. Not nagging on you or anything, and I'm glad you're ok. But 45 is simply too fast for a lightweight RWD E30. I've never gone further than 2nd gear in any snowstorm we've had. Pick up the pieces and build another E30! :p

                        That should buff out.

Someone was going to say it, so I thought I'd get it over with.

As for the driver, well, shit happens, but driving at speed in the snow on crap tires is bad judgement. Any time someone says "it put me into a tree" or "all beyond my control" they are almost certainly wrong.

                              This.
Fresh slushy-snow + questionable tires + narrow 2-lane road (I'm assuming) + a corner with tree's close to the shoulder = slow the fuck down.

Go the limit or higher on straights, not corners.

And hey, look on the bright side of this OP, I doubt you'll ever under-steer into a tree in the snow again.

From the color scheme, looks like the car was already r3ved. What happened before the tree?
