thanks so much for the advice.
i'm sure they've never been replaced by PO and the cars at 213,xxx miles o.0

Reminds me of some local kid who ripped the ebrake in his car at highway speeds to drift and went off the road and killed some lady and her daughter.
i had no bad intentions and under estimated the power of my car..
i would never rip an e brake.
it was in my neighbor hood no parked cars around no cars coming i was traveling at 15-20 mph at tops.
just experimenting and being stupid pretty much.

Im 16 and since Ive done autox I have never felt the urge to drive 10/10s (aka dorifto) on the street.

If you do ur asking for trouble. Once you take your car to the real limit over and over, you realize the street can never be a safe place to drive like that.

DUDE i did something like this the other day in the rain!
i was doing 30, slowed down a bit for the right turn, slight uphill right, and as i turn i gas it. back slides out, i counter steer...keep in mind all of this is on purpose and i had done it before. then i realize my steering is doing nothing and i do a full 360 stopping the right way in my lane. i calmly continue on with my drive

haha at least you're honest. I did the same as you when I first got my e30 and I ended up on a median with a broken oil pan. I was lucky nothing else happened to my car and I didn't get a ticket. Ever since then, I don't practice drifting unless I'm in an empty parking lot with nobody around. It's not worth the risk of totaling your car just because you have the urge to get sideways.

p.s. don't let off the gas if the back end comes loose. you will regain traction and the car will snap back in the direction of the countersteer and you will most likely wreck! ask me how i know? ;)
