I had a 1972 280 SEL with the 500 SEL 6.3l V8 in it. Fuck, I miss that car. A God damn Ford F-150 claimed it's life in a hit and run at my 40mph to his 80mph when he was running from the Cops.

I f'n love the W124, I'm thinking of buying a 300e as a DD and letting the 'vert sleep in the garage until summer. Only problem is, finding one with a manual transmission is a bitch.

Most Merc's are hard to find in a manual. It sucks! :hitler:

They had to make room for inline 8 engine and inboard drum brakes. How about that mechanical direct fuel injection? Got to love 50s tech.


The Uhlenhaut coupe SLR was an 1 off. Most W196s were setup for F1
