Fiberglass will explode if you hit something

            I'd never buy it

Fiberglass is easier to repair at least.

                WRONG!
I had one, hit it about 50 times(just sccuffs, and one small crack after bazillion hits), and ran over it about 3 times, before any major cracking/breakage occured.

I've smacked mine (fiberglass "Rieger Infinity" ) plenty of times, no damage yet. But I did reinforce it with cloth before I installed it. The ones made from "chop" will not hold up, but if you reinforce it with actual glass cloth or, they are made right in the first place with cloth, they're very strong. I hit mine hard enough once that it buckled my fender up, but no damage to the lip  It is also mounted right so it won't rip off.

Nope; from my extensive experience with both Eurostyle and OEM lips, the Eurostyle one can take just as much abuse. FWIW my car is on its 6th or 7th OEM lip at the moment, I know what I'm talking about.

Fil's website is never working, best way to get a hold of him is probably going on maxbimmer.com and PMing him (Eurostyle is his SN).
