It's cheap shit. Why do you want that stupid blue/purple color anyway? It provides shit for light output, blinds other drivers, and signals to the entire driving public that you're a clueless ricer fuck.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

I wasn't planning on that color, I just randomly came up on that page. Any actual HIDs that would be good to upgrade to, due to my shit light output right now? Can't see a god damn thing.Originally posted by JafxodFuck, I need to find me a girl friend for this winter to nestle my penis inside and keep it warm.Comment

If you have projectors, the HIDs are a good upgrade. I recommend VVME as their color consistency is much better than DDM's.
Key point: You want to be around 4300k if you care about seeing better. If you REALLY want to see better, you want to do a TSX or FX35 projector retrofit. But that's a pain in the ass while an HID kit can be dropped right in.
I highly recommend a set of HIR (That's Halogen-IR, not HID) 9011 bulbs in the high beams to match the HID lows.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

A lot of people on here seem to hate ddmtuning.com but thats where I got mine and never had a problem. I have heard vvme.com is good too but I don't have any first hand experience with them. Both of them sell cheap chinese HIDs but those are what most people use. Stick with 4500k-5000k so they don't look gay.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

I got mine from a bimmerforums groupbuy a while ago, they are ApexCone or whatever. I am using the 4300k bulbs because I like to see lol. I have a set of 6000k and also a set of 3000k I believe it is, but I've been using the 4300. If I remember correctly the 3000 was more yellow and didn't seem as bright.Comment

There's no reason to change the low beam bulbs. HIDs are pretty much all the same, no matter what base they are on. The 9011s can be easily modified to fit in a 9005 housing and produce close to twice the light output. (All at the same wattage.)2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison
