Try going from an M30 to an eta an 80hp drop is noticable. At least the thing handels good now, just dosn't have that torque to pull it threw corners.

They may have less horsepower, but with a JimC chip riding on-board and an LSD, the car is a kick to drive. No denying that.

The nice thing about my eta is it only has 50k on the engine 8) The thing runs so smooth and has tons of compression. I could barely turn it over by hand when doing the T-belt. I have to replace the diff and so wish I had the money to toss a LSD in there but don't. I should toss my open 3.73 instead of the 2.92 I've got planned to go in. I'm sure that would be fun :twisted:

That almost might have made sense, had we been comparing an E30 325i to a Hummer H2.

But since we're comparing 2 cars of identical size and weight, with the only difference being a realistic power difference of about 45hp (reduce that to a difference of about 25 and add drastically more torque with the chip) it doesn't really apply.

But eta/i debates hurt my head, so I'm calling this one quits. Afterall, you did buy one. Even if it is for a DD, there had to be something about it you liked. :up:

I'll put my '87 eta with a 3.45 lsd differential, JimC chip, and about a 100lbs lighter than stock(no AC or trunk tar....) up against a heavy convertible E30 any time. :-)
