Fuck man. Glad you made it. My roommate and long time friend had a similar incident with a girl in an f150 a year back (he was on a 600rr). She had no insurance and her family was poor, he was stuck with $100k in medical bills but luckily survived and is good as new. No more bro-high fives with his right hand though.
Happy birthday, man. Quite a gift you were given.paint sucks

wow man, thats crazy. glad to hear another rider is ok!
this sorta hits home with me man, i bought my r6 last august, wrecked the 9th of september, a week into my senior year of HS. 7 months, 6surgeries, 4 doctors, and a limp that wont go away and im still here! i just turned 18 1.5hrs ago lol. im thankful everyday to be here, i stopped taking risks, and try to live my life to the fullest each day.
im glad you made it man! from one rider to another, everyday you live is a blessing!
only other thing ima say is this, everyone WILL ask if you will ride again, that is the least of your problems, its your decision and people WILL judge you depending on your answer, so just smile politely. idk, for me that was the most annoying question i would get. i hope to one day throw my leg over another bike, but that is not a main priority.
again, happy bday and glad you made it!
