I remember hearing about that. I guess when they load those things on the ship they don't lash them down like they do cars on a road-bound transporter (probably cause large freighters are relatively stable even in heavy sea conditions). Those cars look like they've been tossed around like Hot Wheels. I recall that when that ship sank, it came to rest on the ocean floor on its side.....which explains the mish-mash of cars.

from what i've read, 2/3 were volvo's on that ship. the other 1/3 were saab's & bmw's....there were just over 300 bmw's on that ship, hopefully lots of fugly 5 & 7 series
