Yeah, I sanded it after welding, and was split on the decision to start polishing, or paint. For her, I figured paint. But for my own home decoration, I would have stuck with polished. Would look so badass. Definitely more time involved in forming the pedals though, to keep them smooth and free of hammer marks, etc...

Yeah man, this is totally incorrect. That's beautiful! Could make some good coin selling those I bet. Expand to corsages, etc, would be really cool.

Nature in metal is always cool, and that rose looks exceptional.

I made this rose for my girlfriend for Christmas this year out of a scrap piece of 20ga that I had laying around, and a 3/16" rod.

I know it's not nearly as nice as some of the beautiful welds and awesome looking parts that some of you guys make, but figured I'd share anyway, even if only just to bump this thread and get it going again.
