                my friend used to work at rimtyme and they would repo peoples rims when they didn't pay there bill all the time!!! people would rent rims they couldn't afford then they would get put on blocks haha.

                      When I was younger the guy acrossed the street had a 55 Chev Drag car that he took the wheels off it like that so it couldn't be stolen but he didn't park it on the street. He was a trucker and was gone a lot.

                        It's a lot easier to dump factory wheels as they're harder to dump them without them being positively id'd, and mostly there's more of a market for factory wheels than aftermarket.

                          factory rims are expensive too. my rx8s oem rims are $700/piece.

                          if only you could have the option to replace them with volks or enkeis from the factory.
