bought 2 falls ago for 1200 from the orig owner with 100k miles. fully loaded 5 speed with working a/c and cruise (awesome stuff). jsut had some surface rust but i wasnt' gonna bother..car was never smoked in and was minty other than that.

changed the valve cover gasket, plugs and air filter. Took it to a ski resort one day and came out to a broken rear tail light and the other drivers info. reported the accident ot their insurance company (f'n oregon resident denied doing a hit and run...thank god for whitnesses who reported it). There was also a tiny dent the size of a dime on the rear (already rusted) quarter panel. Body shop reporetd 1150 in repairs which included redoing the entire quarterpanel and then a new tail light. Settled with their insurance for cash, then went and replace the tail light with a wrecker piece for 30 bucks. Sold the car later that summer for 1200 and with 22,000kms more.

      I'd say I did pretty good :)

I bought a '89 325i for $500, put another $500 in it, wife drove the piss out of it for 3 years.

I got hit by a cop, collected $3200 and didn't trash the title, and still drive the damn car.

Gonna put another $2000 into it and sell it for $8,000

          Closing SOON!

i attempted a flip on an 89 delphin i got for $850, but my car friends got all up on my dick about it and i ended up selling it to my buddy at-cost. i don't think i have the heart for flipping, because i feel like i'm sort of scamming the next buyer. whatever..can't knock the hustle i guess.

                4. 1998 ZJ Jeep GC: Bought for 3,300 sold for 3,700 (lost money on this one due to me driving it for 10 months)

I do car flipping for fun. I think it is better money spent then on etrader.
