PS2, X-Box or G-C

my girl got me a game cube for x-mas... but i think im gonna trade it up for a ps2, for Grand Toursimo 3 & coming soon are GT4 & Kaido Drift Battle

on the other hand, i may get an x-box... i'm undecided, but leaning slightly towards PS2

Well the only reason I would (and will) get a PS2 is because of GT4. It seems to be the best racing game coming out in the next few years. Other than that PS2 (for me) isnt worth it.
I own an xbox and im happy with it. Halo 2 coming out in the spring. More and more good games coming out. I just got Project Gotham Racing for xmas. Its super fun, I ended up playing for like 7 hours untill like 3 when I got it. Umm I like xbox?

I personally like the GC. I would go with the PS2 second though. I only like the Gamcube more because of Resident Evil and the Gamecube's small size. I am also somewhat of a Nintendo person.

With the x-box, I do like some of the games on it, but every single person I have ever had talk about it was always very one sided. The whole "ora" around the x-box just seems weird to me. Everyone that has one acts like it is the greatest thing to happen to the gaming world. But that is just my opinion.

I chose ps2.

I think that the xbox is a better system (it is), it is easier to go online, you don't need memory cards, almost every racing game lets you upload your own music to use on your in-car radio, and the controller fits my larger hands better than any other controller.

The lack of games on xbox makes it fall to the ps2 though. What the point of having a great system if all the good games are for something else.

I voted PS2, because I have a PS2. I got one for gran turismo 3 and future versions, but I've been happy with alot of other games for it too. My second choice would be xbox I guess, mainly because of the Halo games.

I voted for the PS2 because of Tekken Tag :D . Greatest fighting game ever! Oh yeah, and there are tons of other great games too! Halo 2 is the only xbox-exclusive game that I wish PS2 had. I wouldn't ever buy a GC no matter how cheap they get because they're marketed toward children. There are a couple of awesome games, but not enough to warrant buying the system... too many 'MarioPartyesque' games

What kind of games are you into? Check out the variety of games for xbox before you buy one. Make sure you try it out with an open mind. Its takes some getting used to.
I have both and I am not a hardcore gamehead so I cannot use your poll :P

I use the xbox for rallisport challenge, sega gt,nba live 2k3, Halo, Project Gotham Racing 1 and the roomies ue it for FIFA world cup 2002. I want to get Colin McRae's racing game for xbox next...

I use the PS2 for Grant Turismo 3 exclusively, no one else plays it but ME :twisted:

none.. I already wasted enough money on games when I was younger, I'm actually selling most of my older games to fund a 5 speed swap for my car. :)

there are so many more games and the graphics arent that much worse. The only thing xbox has going for it is halo in my opinion and that just isnt worth the switch for me. Racing games on xbox suck too, at least sega gt

Kaido Battle: Drift Racer has been cancelled. Saw this in the newest edition of the PSM, January 2004 edition...

Pg. 13: Sammy Studios has unfortunately decided to shelve the game, despite the amount of promis it was showing. No official reason for the cancellation has been given.

PS2 vs. XBOX....... i see only one major reason to get one over the other: GT3! I'd almost get PS2 just to play Gran Turismo...... oh well

I bought a XBOX. For the network play, good games (HALO, HALO, & HALO). I also like Project Gotham Racing.

For the most part, companies make the same game for all three: SSX Tricky, NFS Underground, etc. etc.

But then you gotta look at each system's key games. I chose Halo over GT3. I guess I can keep playing GT2 on original playstation.

i own both xbox and ps2, ive had the ps2 for 2 years and the xbox for 1. i enjoy playing the ps2 much more and i seem to play it more overall.
generally when there is a game out for both xbox and ps2 i always seem to grab the ps2 version. why? the only reason i can come up with is that i love the way teh ps2 controller feels/operates in my hands. i HATE the xbox controller, and i have tryed a coupel different versions and i just cant use it confortably.

pro & cons
xbox loads things faster, has an onbord hardrive, and usually has better graphics.

ps2 has much better controllers (IMO), more games (and usually has games that i really enjoy, like gt3, tony hawk, the gta's metal gear solid) granted that most of those are out for xbox now, at a time ps2 was the only way to go.

ps2 memory cards come in handy sometimes, like, when i want to bring my save game to a friends house or soemthing.
They both have online cappablity and a harddrive (upgrade for ps2). i dont have either for ps2 and i dont have online for xbox. but i have herd that xbox's "live!" is better than ps2's online setup, but the harddrives seems to work the same.

personally, my solution to your problem, is go to a friends house, play his xbox and ps2 and decide for yourself which u like more. (and make sure he has :bow: gran turismo 3 )

But for current systems, I'd have to say PS2. Vice City, GT3....thats all you need.
