PS2, X-Box or G-C

I've got an X-box and a GC. I work at Gamestop, aka Babbages, and deal with games a lot.

The X-box is for more of an adult population, but GC is slowly getting out of its kiddy only games.

X-Box is a lot faster, better graphics. GC is good for playing some little fun party games, and slowly getting some decent games other than that.

Not to say the graphics arn't good on GC, but Xbox's are just better. GC has a lot of great games you wont' see on xbox, and vice versa.

I got the GC First, because of price, the xbox i got during employee week and cost me 98 bux. They are both great, get both.

PS2 because of the choice in games... Xbox is slowly coming around and graphics are slightly better. PS2 also has a better controller, unlike the xbox which is huge and kills your hands. Also, PS2 plays DVD by default, and you do not have to buy a $30 upgrade like on the Xbox.

Barely.

PS2 is my favorite mainly for the FF games, and also because of the huge array of games available for it. XBOX only has a few games that PS2 and GC don't, (such as Rallisport and Halo) which you can get for PC.

Besides, it's bad enough that the general public pays $300 for a copy of Windows, I'll be damned if I'm going to spend another $200 to have their console, too.

They dumb down graohics for PS2, its that simple. XBOX is a superior system. The only reason to go for PS2 is for the game selection which XBOX has started to build on. They aren't even games that have harnessed the full potential of the XBOX...yet.

aight, as much as i lvoe tony hawk & mat hoffman... it sucks dick w/o a savable console... next time i'm at the mall, the GC is going back for a PS2

Sounds like fun... although the main drawback of xbox (the lack of good games that are already on ps2) isn't addressed yet :P

I've owned both... once I got my xbox, my ps2 just sat there collecting dust... sold it on ebay

it's all about personal preference...

A little update on Gran Turismo 4.

It will have motorcycles! Just noticed the little blurb in the mag...

PSM January 2004:

PG 53: "The game aims to redefine realism in the racing genre (creator Kazunori Yamauchi claims it can be used to train pro drivers) and will feature enough modern and classic cars(plus motorcycles) to make car nuts' heads explode..."

Yet again GT4 is the only game worth looking forward to, even if it is 4 months away.

most of the new ps2 games are made for xbox now... GTA3 and vice city are. The only reason I can see having a ps2 is GT3. It's the only game that gets played on ours. My xbox has seemingly much better graphics than my ps2, loads quicker, and contrary to popular belief, the controller fits my hands MUCH better. Fucking ps2 controller is torture. The dvd remote for the xbox is worthwile for 30 bucks, many systems come with them nowadays. You know its got to be a better system when microsoft is losing money on every xbox sale. And I'm a mac guy, don't usually speak well of microsoft stuff.
