    What engine should I swap?

    I will be getting a M60B40 in a few days...and I was thinking of doing that instead of the M50 with S50 cams that is almost ready to drop in. I plan on boost in a year also for the M50. I will be tracking and the thought crossed my mind that the BIG V8 will make for shitty handling. I have valved GC coilover setup to make up for the weight.

    Also does anyone have an idea on the price of parts to swap over. Not including the engine, I already know the pice of that.

    Thoughts and options, discuss/

    P.S. Power from the M60 is 286HP and the music it makes is one of the reasons I want to swap.

    Slow and steady wins the race. Sounds to me like you're one of those guys who needs 400hp to be content. Not that it's by any means a bad thing, it just sounds like you want that turbo.

      I love the sound of that V8..

      But I think the turbo cammed M50 would still be a better choice if you're looking for something that retains a relatively lightweight front end, while putting up nice HP #s.

          -S14
          -is the S14 a option
          -you should swap a S14 into it
          -you then again could also swap a S14
          -if you cant get a S14, then I say stick to what you have....then again a S14 at 7K does sound sweet!

            I agree with this, that was the plan till I saw the V8...maybe just buy it and save for a later date. No clue as of yet, a friend of mine is planning on a M60 so I have yet to contact him as to expense of the swap.

              Yan, you are my hero. Anyway, I read somewhere that the v8 weighs close to the S52, due to the aluminum block. Not to mention better weight balance due to it being shorter. Maybe another member will chime in on that.

                M60 not so much plus it is shorter and all alloy you know you want the M60!
