    H&R race concern,

I was wondering if H&R race springs with billie sports make for a bad winter car..? I've searched but cant find any answers. I live in quebec, Canada. I want the drop and performance (and price) of the combo.. but I have to get threw winter every year as well.

I have pretty good plowing service but somedays it might snow 1 to 3 feet of snow.. although there is never that much snow on the street at one time. I think it happened once in the year that there was a foot of snow on the streets. but 6 inches is often the case.

I've been wondering the same thing.

I'm not sure about the " drop with race, but with my 60/40 Apex springs I could still get around pretty easily. If you've got a valance and a hefty lip I'd be worried, but it shouldn't stop you from driving the car.

The lower your car is the higher your chance of getting high centered, just a bit of snow under the body takes the weight of the car and reduces traction quite dramatically. I'm not talking about completely high centered just enough to remove some weight from the rear tires. I've been there, it sucks when going up a mildly inclined driveway with 6 inches of snow becomes impossible even with snow tires.

Wouldn't do it. I have races and we got 2ft and I was plowing on plowed roads. Mind you I am in an early model so the front sits a bit higher too.

Just switch to stock springs for the winter, problem solved. I would not try to drive with Race springs on.

Heres a lol e30 snow picture. Tires are 215-65-16 winter forces.

                  +1, completely true.

Does make for some great fun though.

I wouldnt run races in snow. Just get an adjustable spring kit from GC so you can raise it up in the winter

Adjustable GCs would be better, but its definitely possible to drive with Races in the snow. I'll be doing it this season lol.

If you've got three feet of snow and no plow it won't matter anyway
