1989 bmw 325i . Going to swap for a m50/m52 . the tranny i have now also needs to be swapped , it doesnt have reverse, 1st, or 2nd . So when i buy the new motor im going to need another tranny . which should I get for these engines

Go for one with big boobs. It'll get you in the mindset its a "she" faster.
On another note, Getrag is a popular unit. But I imagine the easiest would be to get a tranny where you dont need to mix and match driveshafts to get it right.Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :| -

There are at least 4 different transmissions you can use with that engine. Any E36 trans will require a new ratio in your diff as well, since they are a non-OD trans.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

haha thanks so far guys .. much help lol :P trust me btw, i did my research im just a little confused because just like he said ^^ there is like 4 diff kinds i can use .. i want a good one but if a regular getrag 260 is compatible with a m50 on it , i might aswell go that route kuz a stock tranny is helllaaaa cheapComment

you will need a new trans brace for the 260 to work. White325is (mike) sells them.
