A 1/2 a gallon ?! Just put in another gallon or so to get you to the station.

Spray the drain plug with some liquid wrench/wd40 and leave it overnight, try it tomorrow. Why run the old fuel etc throug the pump/filter?Leave a comment:

Jump the fuel pump relay and put your fuel supply hose into a large tub, or a gas can. Easiest way.Leave a comment:

tried to undo the drain plug but it feels too much like it'll strip btw. It's not budging one bit so bound to end in tears if I keep trying.Leave a comment:

I'm tempted to try filling up the tank with unleaded but that's what i'm worried about tbh. If I filled up and the thing still didn't start i'd have to drain out even more petrol whereas currently there's a gallon of 'fresh' unleaded + 1/2 gallon old unleaded.
Also i'd have to make several trips to the petrol station and i'd be really p'd off it it still didn't start.
Any other offers on the write up for pumping out the tank? Or do we reckon filling up with fresh unleaded should do the trick?Leave a comment:

What kind of E30? They are in different locations. Once you find it you can look at the relay (it should have the schematic on it) and find out which pins to jump.
If you only put a little bit of bad gas in I would just fill it up the rest of the way with fresh gas and just drive it, unless the bad gas was really bad.Leave a comment:

Petrol/gas tank drain
Stupid of me to have done I know but I poured really old petrol into my car the other day. It had run out whilst on the drive and I remembered that I had two 1/4 empty cans in the shed. I knew they were old but thought i'd get away with it and fill her up straight away at the station.
Anyway long story short i'm trying to find a write up on how to get the petrol out using th petrol pump and bridging the relay wires for the pump. I can't find a definitive post anywhere.
Anybody able to help?
Thanks
