The Official 'Craigslist find' thread - awesome & awful (eBay, Kijiji, etc.)
Lexus IS250 6 speed manual. I have to admit that I really liked these cars when they came out. Seems like a pretty good value over an e46 or e90.
I'd rather get a 2001 e46 m3 6-speed (no SMG) for $9K. The e46 m3's are at about the bottom of their pricing. Won't be long before they start appreciating. Well sorted e36 m3s are already picking up.
The Lexus will be scrap.

Gun control means using both hands
Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n roll. Pick two.
SMG came out in 2002. While you can convert the SMG to not be an SMG, you still have a lot of nonsense related to it. Better to get the true six speed without having to swap.

Yeah, but they're not practical daily drivers. An M3 for $9k will likely be pretty beat and I don't want to deal with expensive s54 issues and definitely not frame cracking issues.

113k miles, diving board 4-cyl for $17k?!?! AND the seller is a dick on top of it? GTFO
"The price is the price if you don't like it move on to another e30 with 250k+ Miles LOL!"
Jerk doesn't even put pics of the interior, engine bay or undercarriage in the ad? This guy will hear crickets for a decade before this price is considered by anyone not just released from the looney bin.
Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous 1991 BMW 325i (Chassis E30).
Please respond for more details.
-All service records to 1994.
-NO accidents. Clean history.
-Just rolled past 145,000 miles.
-A zero-rust survivor.
-Mechanically perfect (although A/C does not currently blow cold).
-ALL electronics work.
-No issues at all.
-Over $4000 in recent service and restoration.
I am moving to Boston for a new career. This unfortunately cannot go with me. Value is increasing quickly. The price is right.
^Don't laugh, we've seen a few e30s in that condition easily surpass the $10k mark on BaT. If somebody wanted to try and restore an e30 to mint condition (rebuilding drivetrain, suspension, body and interior) you're going to spend $20k+.
