Demuro gets me just because of how much passion he has for the smallest details. He’s a nerd, but he’s kind of a great nerd. RCR has an advanced English degree (I think) and so when all of a sudden he’s discussing simulations versus simulacra, I’m hooked. To each his own though, for sure.

Yeah I thought the s2000 was pretty optimistic. Maybe there’s some ragged out s2000 out there and they’ll make a perfect match.

That $9k faux-M3 is pretty amazing. Guy probably has about twice that in it.

If I wasn't married I'd have bought it over the weekend. I don't think I can afford the brownie points it would take to buy that death trap, but fuck would it be fun.

I went to go look at the Alpineweiss 1987 325e over the weekend. Died at idle for the first 10 minutes, and the interior was nearly gutted. After she warmed up, she ran very well, and the clutch was like butter. I see what people mean about the eta engines. Nothing really wrong with them at all. Nice experience with the oversized steering wheel.

No mayonnaise under the oil cap, no drips, no obvious rust/corrosion. Still with that interior it will take someone who can devote the space to at least a partial restoration job. Mostly trim pieces and figuring out what the lean idle was all about. Probably not a major task, but a little time consuming (going to yards) or slightly pricey (Bavarian Auto for everything).

- Weber carburetor and upgraded fuel pump. Comes with original carburetor and airbox.
- All records from new until 1985 including original buyers order. Second owner was master mechanic and did all maintenance himself hence no paperwork from 1985 to present.
- One respray back in 1985. Current paint shows well and was recently buffed and sealed. Still single stage paint.
- Three small areas of paint imperfection or paint bubble as shown in pictures. Only major area is the spare wheel well is partly rusted through.
- Undercarriage and frame rails are solid with no rust
- Shock towers solid with no rust or rot
- Includes new starter that will be installed this week...Higher torque S14 starter. Original starter will be included.
- Pre-1974 bumpers are available is purchaser wants...will negotiate a price

Im selling my 1989 bmw 325i e30 convertible it sat for 3 years in a garage while I was at college. 169,000 miles It was a daily driver and starts right up. No sludge in the oil and gas was changed out. Mechanically she is in great shape. Qualifies for antique tags but doesn't need much to pass inspection. She does needs cosmetic work mostly interior so I'm only asking $2000 obo. Makes a great spring/summer project car.
