Your E30(s). Sentimental or just metal?

Lukes thread had me thinking a bit about this, like if it were my car what would I do?

I know i am a sentimental fool and grow attached to things.

My graphite car is like a part of my family to me, well somewhere in between a pet and a family member lol. I would cry if i lost it. We have been through alot! Sold it at one stage, bought it back. The best of the 7 I have had.

Its seems shells are a lot more disposable over there than here but question is,

Are any of you "attached" to any of your cars?

Who thinks I am crazy and who shares my attachment?

    I am ridiculously so.

In passing this morning I said something along these lines to my wife, "You know, if I had to sell the S50 car I think I'd pick up a convertible as my next project..." to which she responded, "Yeah I was just thinking about what we could get for it the other day."

    Pokerface.

Im attached to my cars. I learned it from my dad. When he buys a car, he owns it for life until its dead or cant be repaired somehow. Im still mourning my 325.... Lost it January of 2010. My dad bought that one new from Pacific BMW in 1986 so imagine. Anyways yes, I am totally attached to my cars. I literally avoid thinking what would happen if for some reason some asshole hit me in the M3 and it was totalled. I may come at the driver like a spider monkey whether it be a he/she/elderly. That car is probably my most prized material posession and Ive wanted one since I saw it as a young pup. To be honest I never thought I'd own one. Im getting all emotional haha.

Im super sentimental on my e30, eventhough ive had it for 1.5 years but im freaking hooked. Dumped 17k on it including the 3.8k of the purchase is not easy to assimilate or justify.

Yeah I would, but I can't understand the guy. He's got some weird accent. And what's with that car? He says its a Ford but it doesn't like like any Ford I've ever seen!

my red one had a lot of value to me.... i literally cried when i totaled it... the white one... not so much but its getting there....

i was just to the point where i knew EVERYTHING about my brilliant one. the weekend B4 the wreck i put the last 2 things in it to make it to the point that i replaced EVERYTHING and my next step was low and interior.... it was a completely rust free car except surface rust in the tray, even when i changed my rear subframe the bolts werent even rusted. GAHHH i miss that car..

im almost to that point with the white one... once i swap the rear ends out it'll be a little closer.

I love mine but hate working on it, especially since all I've done is tons of maintenance stuff. Actually I've thought about selling it a few times and I think it knew, because it has broken down basically every time I've considered it.

Mine's my first car, my first modded car, and the first car I did track events in. I DD it upwards of 10k a year, and I nearly shit myself every time I see the twat driving the SUV next to me start texting.

I couldn't just replace this car, it's special to me.
