    e30 repair question

Hi i'm fairly new here, so if this is in the wrong place i apologize and would appreciate it if a mod could move this to the appropriate area.

So the stupidest thing happened to my friend yesterday.

So the damage isn't horrendously bad. The frame is straight for sure (and it drives perfectly still), but theres damage to the quarter panel and the tail light and plastic bumper are toast.

I did a search and i couldn't find an answer to my questions.

    Also, attached is a picture

    Thanks guys

you will need a bumper, tail light and a pass side quarter panel to fix it.

if you turn it into insurance, they will total it.

get ready to pay out of pocket in order to fix it.

thank you for your reply. i understand that i will need to pay out of pocket for the repair, but could you clarify one thing for me though? would i need to purchase an 88 bumper (my car is an 88 with the plastic conversion done to it) or would i need to buy a 89+ bumper?

ohh okay. i was under the impression that the plastic conversion was performed on an 88 bumper using 89+ parts. Didn't realize it was a complete bumper swap. Thanks a lot for the information.

Go to the your local pick-a-part and try your luck.
