Paying cash for everything and save up double what you expect any project to cost, those are the 2 things that kept me sane with my e30.

        X2!
During the 5 years I had my e30, I have put around $30 000 into it. If I didn't have the E30, I would waste those money on partying or some other junk.
When I'm upgrading my E30, I get the "new car sensation" (that usually lasts just 2 weeks) every time I do a upgrade. A $500-$1000 upgrade is cheaper then buy a new car every time you get bored.

In all seriousness after having my car for about 2 years I'm finally starting to get it back to how it should have been. I bought the car with everything JDM, now it's going back to normal and how it should be.

It had an ETA manifold and throttle body with a Dinan I chip?
JDM Wheels with HUGE tires on it, not width but sidewall.
Suspension was all jacked up in the front.
                Purple tint
                on and on and on.

Now that I'm starting to get some track time and I have guidance of what I want to do, I want to make this thing street/track car. I can finally afford to get the engine running how I want and I want more and more power. As time goes on I want to keep doing more and more to my car, but right now I'm just trying to get it proper.

                  SAME EXACT THING WITH ME.

Broke up with GF of three years.
Spent all of the money I had saved up for an apartment on E30 Parts.
