    How to remove old gas?

    Car is been sitting for years. Because of old gas car is not starting. How can I remove old gas?

    syphon the tank. ( i think i spelled that right)

        ^ how the HELL do you get it off? lol 23 years of rust is no fun. siphon seems easier at this point for me at least

          Jumper the fuel pump and put the feed line into a gas can or large tub. Easy.

            don't live on the rust coast ;)

            if it's not rusted on, use the drain plug. doesn't get any easier than that.. actually, even if it is rusted, use an impact and some penetrating oil. don't use a torch for obvious reasons.

              take off the fuel pump outlet hose, direct into bucket. Power pump, watch bucket fill.

              EDIT: looks like I hit post last.

                serisouly, why overcomplicate it.. undo the drain plug, put a bucket under the car. doesn't get simpler (and safer) than that! :)

                      Seriously though, just PB the shit out of the drain plug and take it out. Short of that, they make siphons that are hand powered. I've done a few that way, since in Virgnie they tend to get a little rusty in the underparts of the tank.
