Removing rear deck, 2 quick questions.

I'm trying to get my rear deck out for reupolstery in black fabric & 3rd brake light delete. I've got the rear seat back out, 3rd brake removed, speakers out, and lower section of the rear belts unbolted. How do I get trim piece around where the seatbelt come through off to get the deck out, I know it must unclip somehow. Or am I going about this the wrong way? tia.

Related question: will the 3rd brake light "delete" make my brake light out indicator come on on the check panel, and if so how to I make it not come on.

iirc they clip on by sliding, like you have to push them back, because there are tabs on the front of them

they pop out of the deck, then there is a small slit in the back (facing the rear window) - theyre stronger than they look, but be careful, just bunch the seatbelts up on one side of the hole they come through until you can get an edge through the slit in the back... if that makes sense

** im assuming you're asking how to remove them from the seatbelts to get the deck all the way out

take the bolt off the seatbelt from the bottom of the seat and it will go through.

Re-upolstery of the rear deck is complete, and as I suspected, the 3rd brake light delete triggers the brake light indicator on the check panel. Anyone know how to stop this?

                Possibly a resistor?

the brake light is a part of a circuit. When the light burns out, the circuit is interrupted, triggering the check panel warning. All you need to do is complete the circuit of the wiring for the brake light.
