I've owned my car since last August and had yet to be pulled over in it up until Tuesday. I wondered how much attention it would attract at first, it being low, having a euro plate, etc. but I had grown accustomed to not being bothered by police.
So I took a spontaneous trip from Sac to the Giants game with three friends on Tuesday. I volunteered to drive the 90 or so miles to SF because my bronzit 325is is obviously the classiest of our cars (and the only one thats tinted).
I got pulled over twice in 15 minutes on I-80, once in Oakland and again ON the Bay Bridge.
One followed us for 10+ minutes before blurping me, sticking his head in the window and saying he couldn't see the rear passengers' seatbelts and immediately let me go.
The next followed us from the toll booth the length of the bridge and pulled me over on the off ramp to the city. He claimed the month sticker on my plate is too faded. And then gave us directions to the game that we were now very late to.
Anyways, we saw these as somewhat obvious attempts(failed attempts)to see if they could smell or see if we were up to no good, even though I was driving safely and at or below the speed limit. I should add that we all smoke weed and had been on the ride(this is where the tint comes in handy), including a blunt right after the first let us go that we put out right before the toll where the next began to tail me. 2 of the 4 have medical cards so we do so without really worrying.
I find it funny though that these police profiled me(correctly, I guess) and still failed at what they were trying to do.
It might have also helped that all four of us are white bois.
Anyway, fuck the police.
Anyone else been obviously profiled in their chariot?
