    CHP profiling

I've owned my car since last August and had yet to be pulled over in it up until Tuesday. I wondered how much attention it would attract at first, it being low, having a euro plate, etc. but I had grown accustomed to not being bothered by police.

So I took a spontaneous trip from Sac to the Giants game with three friends on Tuesday. I volunteered to drive the 90 or so miles to SF because my bronzit 325is is obviously the classiest of our cars (and the only one thats tinted).
I got pulled over twice in 15 minutes on I-80, once in Oakland and again ON the Bay Bridge.
One followed us for 10+ minutes before blurping me, sticking his head in the window and saying he couldn't see the rear passengers' seatbelts and immediately let me go.
The next followed us from the toll booth the length of the bridge and pulled me over on the off ramp to the city. He claimed the month sticker on my plate is too faded. And then gave us directions to the game that we were now very late to.

Anyways, we saw these as somewhat obvious attempts(failed attempts)to see if they could smell or see if we were up to no good, even though I was driving safely and at or below the speed limit. I should add that we all smoke weed and had been on the ride(this is where the tint comes in handy), including a blunt right after the first let us go that we put out right before the toll where the next began to tail me. 2 of the 4 have medical cards so we do so without really worrying.

I find it funny though that these police profiled me(correctly, I guess) and still failed at what they were trying to do.
It might have also helped that all four of us are white bois.

    Anyway, fuck the police.
Anyone else been obviously profiled in their chariot?

In california it is buddy. he could have giving you a DWI/DUI. Tell me i dont know this. Even if you got a "pot card" driving when faded will get your car towed and you a trip to the holding sell. Dont be stupid.

Im curious of how and what you know of this...
How many people do you know in CA that have been arrested solely for being high behind the wheel(and weren't doing anything else wrong)? Its my understanding that most cops don't waste their time with it and its also hard to prove a case against you.

Texas is a first offense state so that makes sense...
                but sorry that blows.
and I have had to disconnect my high beams for the same issue as in your sig. Every time I signaled left.

Ive been with ppl that have gotten their cars towed for just being faded. Ive had cops tell me to walk home and leave the car. CHP is no game buddy. IDK how old you are but ive had my fair share of cop run-ins.

When I got my car they were disconnected and couldn't figure out why. My sealed beams were so bad you couldn't really tell that much difference if the highs were on or not. It just so happened I was on a dark road that night. :/

Cops here don't waste their time if the driver is driving high.
Three times I've been in the car as a passenger while the driver was high as balls and was pulled over for a tail light violation or a stupid reg sticker and sure enough, the cop found out and only made me drive and let the high driver sit as a passenger. Three separate occasions, three different cops, 2 different counties.

It's a waste of damn time and has no weight in the superior court of california. They have bigger shit to deal with.

                      Ask me how I know.

Weed is an intoxicant bro. I've smoked tons of that crap, haven't for two years now.

You can't tell me you drive the same high and sober. No way.

When you smoke you get tunnel vision. People say it makes you more focused, I KNOW it made me more focused. But it also made me focus on different things, to look at the world differently. It alters your consciousness.

It also slows you down. Your reaction times are shit depending on how high you are. If you're lightly faded, a couple hits, won't affect driving too much. But if you smoke a blunt to yourself then you're putting everyone else at risk.

I guess my point is, don't smoke and drive. The last thing you want is a car full of dead children because you got amazed by how the telephone poles are perfectly aligned. It may never happen. But its not worth the risk.

well you're certainly on the right track to find out the hard way!

agreeing with those who stated previously that driving while high is not a good idea. It is nothing like driving drunk, I'll give you that, but it is somewhat dangerous (besides, why the hell would you want to drive while you were baked?)
