    Moving sucks

Moving into a new house from an apartment doesn't suck, but waiting 2 weeks for the cable company to hook up your cable and internet does. This is the first time I've seen the forum in a week and a half! My internet won't even be hooked up until the 6th of January. I'm at NitroRustlerDriver's (Andrew) house right now.

Just wanted to say hey to everyone. Merry late X-Mas.

couldnt have been stated any better.I currently work for Time Warner and when i used to be on the phones I would hate it when people wanted their transfers done the very next day.TW is probably the best company I have worked for...gotta love FREE cable(every channel),FREE Roadrunner, and 50% any pay Per View! Saving over $160 a month!

I used to work for Qwest in Seattle, and we would get pretty good discounts on dsl and phone service, but not as good as yours.... Plus Qwest's service is pretty crappy.

Moving does suck pretty bad, Ive moved 2x in the last 6-8 months and now just want to get settled and confortable. GL with your move Eurospeed ;)

Yeah, tell me about it. I move about once a year and I always have a problem with DSL and telephone service (thanks, SBC). At my current apartment, it took 3 weeks to set up DSL/phones, and at my last place it took them a month.

You could always use dial-up as a backup until everything gets wired.

Had actually thought about that, but they are probably just as backed up as the cable company. And besides, my roomate is a Q3 player, and dial-up would be just as useless to him as no internet at all.

Just went through this myself. Went from a4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment with a roomate. It's kind of cool. At 42 I feel free again for the first time in 10 years.
