        think he means sensor, makes the car run rich when it thinks its still on cold start status.. i have the same issue, installed a 71* c thermostat , so all time just over the blue, car runs rich :d but i have a m20 so idk...

          could be a bad FPR, The diaphragm can go bad and allow gas into the intake mani. even if the car runs rich you shouldn't smell it in the car, so my guess would be you have an exhaust leak which doesn't help power any...

            You could tee in a fuel pressure gauge and monitor it after you shut the engine off to see if the residual fuel pressure drops off quickly, however pressure dropping off could also be a bad check valve in the fuel pump.

            That says sensor does it not? There ain't no coolant temp switch on an m50.

            Good call, checking with said fuel pressure gauge could ID this too if there isn't already fuel pouring out the vacuum line to the intake.

              I have low temp switch too, m20. Sometimes I think my car may be running rich...hmm. Don't think it is affecting mpg...4:10 diff is the cause of that.
