    Hey OP
See? That's customer service right there.
Unequivocal is the only word to describe it from my dealings. This only solidifies it even further.

I think you should change the title of this thread, especially due to the amount of people responding stating how great our lifetime warranty is, which includes accident protection. While this post did get a response from us, it probably wasn't the nicest way to do so. ;)

Anyways, I have been out of the office for the past two days, so if you attempted to contact me I apologize. I had a few things to take of with my family, and I was out yesterday conducting a test fit and creating an install guide for a new Diesel truck application (radiator and intercooler) we are getting ready to release.

Regardless, unless I missed it, I do not see any E-mails from you mentioning this issue. Can you provide me with your E-mail address, or send me an E-mail directly at sales@mishimoto.com, or patrick@mishimoto.com? I will be happy to help as many other have mentioned before. If you did send us an E-mail, I apologize for the oversight. If you have yet to receive a response, please re-send it at this time.

As for the hose clearance issue, this has been addressed and we are working on updating the drawings at this time just so that there is no additional confusion in the future about this.

Again, as many have said we offer a lifetime warranty and stand by our products. If you have any issues, please contact us at sales@mishimoto.com and let us know what is going on.

    -Pat

EDIT - Mods/Admins, please allow this post to stay as we are defending ourselves from accusations which the OP has presented. We will not continue posting on the forum unless invited to do so, or unless another thread such as this arrives.

Yes. Any e36m compatible unit is plug and play into late, and pnp with the right parts into early e30. My car is a 1987; added the rad support bracket from a late model car.

This PWR I took from my e36m, it fit into my e30 with 0 drilling required, used s52 hoses to clear M20 OEM airbox and the clamp for small hose fits perfect.

I did run a mishimoto radiator successfully with my prior e36m and s52/s54 engine, it was a tough wiggle on the small clamp compared to the PWR

I'll have temp issues on 20 minute sessions here in TN. Its nothing terrible, but I'd rather have the peace of mind of some more cooling.

I know about the block drain plug. And like I said, I've never used a hose.

However, I recall that I used a (clogged) radiator from a parts car for a few days while the Mishimoto was en route. That may have contaminated things--I'll grab some coolant flush stuff soon, I still have not heard back from Mishimoto (didn't get a chance to call today).

i was running hosewater while i diagnosed my cooling system, but just left it in due to laziness. from these pics, i'd better switch out to distilled soon.

No, but see the above comment. I would flush with RO water (as I have an RO system and have 20 gallons on hand on a bad day), and then re-fill to taste.

    I have a leak but I always assumed I hadn't snugged a hose.

I got my Mishi from Mitch. When I installed it, drove few miles, parked and noticed coolant on the floor. With a flashlight I found the coolant was comming from the fine tubes. Sure it was cracked from factory or somehow it got cracked, not at simple look but very small ones. Contacted Mitch, suggested me to talk with Pat, sent him few photos and the warranty clain filled. They sent me a new one w/o major questions.

I'm still using the original cracked radiator as at the time (since I don't live in USA) I was DD my car and need it, so I opted to go through stop leak powder stuff and worked perfect. I even tracked my car like that and so far it's sealed. But yeah, I felt bad when my brand new rad was cracked. Now I have this spare rad, ready to go if needed. My temp dropped a bit though.

FYI for those that are running just water, without running coolant or a rust inhibitor/anti corrosive additive you will be building up a rust barrier that can reduce the coolant to block and radiator heat transfer abilities and also can damage from electrolysis from dissimilar metals plus premature water pump failure as your water pump uses coolant to lubricate the carbon seal.

And an example of the uglies of running straight water

+1 Pat is a big help for just about anything.

OP, I think you should try to contact the company before you post a thread like this trying to trash them. They have a lifetime warranty, I'm not even sure what there is to complain about - you'll get a replacement. How many other companies do that? Sorry about your bad luck though, dude.
