How much am i looking at for building up a SHELL

might get a shell 1991 325is for free, everything is stripped just the body,no suspension, drivetrain, engine, wheels, tires, dashboard, seats, nothing. just the shell. wondering if i should get this? can anyone give me an estimate on how much i will be spending.

i have some spare parts that i might put into this: complete m50tu, front seats, rear bumper, passenger fender.

    How nice is the shell?

A shit lot. You're better off buying a rolling shell just for the sheer fact of wiring. you haven't seen an E30 wiring until you see how much wiring goes from the fusebox harness to the dash...its nuts. its nuts.

Um...I'd say that totally depends on what you want to do...Are you looking at just getting a runner and buying a bunch of used parts, or are you looking to turn this into a perfect restored beauty queen? Track rat? I mean, thousands, unless you are the undisputed king of haggling. Just a question of how many thousands...

          Give it to me.
          I'll make use of it.

          How much will it cost?
A lot more than buying a car.
          Even a really nice one

dude, drive up to walnut creek, i have a rolling shell with stuff in it still including a motor.
if your shell already has a title, just transfer everything over.

Sounds like fun, sorta like building a car from scratch.
Secure a decent parts car before hand.
I'd also consider painting it, or doing some bodywork (if needed) right now, before you dig into it.

Do it if you absolutely love e30s with all your heart. If you doubt your love for this car or measure your love anywhere underneath "unconditional love", then please, don't even think about building up this car with a low budget in mind.

Yea, don't do it because it's cheap because it won't be. But you would learn a lot in the process. Seems more like a candidate for a rebuild into a race car, or donor sheetmetal to fix a busted race car. LOL.

Hahaha wtf!!! Is this a joke?!? Scrap metal of no value in Cali? Lol crazy-

Better yet, cut the cage out and sell it to me :(

But yeah... Thousands regardless, unless you use all used parts off like a donor and even most of those parts are gonna or should be replaced-

Go the track rat way, u already know ur gonna spend money, or derby it- which could be cheap- I guess?

                      Pics!! <--- they help! :)
