What about hex head bolts? They're bad or something, gotta swap them out for something else?

Going to try and get it off of him now, might even knock the price down to $700 by telling him its the AFM which costs $400.

I'm pretty confident that I can get it running good for under $100:
Can of treated Gas
Spark Plugs
Seafoam
Oil Change

Crazy old man was wasting my time all along. Started it for me dangled it in front of my face, said 800 might take it AS-IS. Then said he didn't want to sell it. Went up to $1,000 he still didn't budge. Said he got over 30mpg on it, and went on to tell me how much money he had it it. But then told me he would just about guarantee the head was cracked, (didn't steam, not really any water in the oil) and that it had a salvage title. Not sure if he was trying to get more money out of me but no way I was spending over $1,000.

Oh well now to find an I/IS around $1,500 elsewhere wish me luck.
