If you had a clue that would be done but hell if you had a clue it never would have gotten that bad.

You can do it incorrectly multiple times and spend 10X as much or right once.

When you ask questions on the net you need to be prepared for responses you don't want.

Torque wrenches are for tightening to the proper torque. THEY ARE NOT BREAKER BARS.

Here is an idea. TAKE IT TO A REAL MECHANIC. You know not wtf you are doing.

I didn't ask about ALL impact guns. I asked if I should rent a good one or buy a shitty one. There is a difference. Maybe if you could read you would understand.

Either rent one for $30 (non refundable) or buy a cheap one 49.99 and if I only get two uses out of it, it was worth the money.

If it does not work I just return it because HF has hassle free returns. What a freaking concept.

Don't know really. Don't know if it was like when I got it from PO or not. Only driven the car once, been doing a lot of work to it. Had some vibrations when driving and when I got home jacked it up and that is what I saw.

Called the autoparts stores in the area, none of them had impacts for rent. Found one place near by that rents, but for $30.

Just figured if I rent for $30 and I can buy one for 49.99 if I only get 2 uses out of it was worth the money. Which is what I originally asked... Should I rent or buy a shitty one.

Why would I spend $400+ on air/impact wrench when I am probably not going to even use it that much/doing work in a apartment parking lot?

Do you think how fucked up it is has anything to do with it?

Torque wrench? Seriously? You should be taken out in a field and shot in the head with a 22. Forget PB Blaster. Might as well use water. Get yourself a can of Winchester Gun Cleaner. Soak those bitches overnight. Hit them again the next day. Use a breaker bar w/six point socket and a six point closed-end wrench. Done.

    You're welcome.

if you dont have air and must use an electric spend some cash on it. it will be worth it in the long run. check warranty also.

did u try wd40 to help u out a bit? i would stick with the hand tools and breaker bar on this guibo job.

way to fuck up a torque wrench by bouncing on it btw.

    2000 in-lbs is over 160 ft-lb

I have had crank pulley bolts that resisted the torch and my 1k lb IR air impact. There are bolts that just don't want to let go.

I stand by my no HF electric rule.

The cheese ball electric ones from HF are not that bad in limited use. I would not recommend them to a mechanic though.
