Even still with my m52 I never got anywhere close to what you guys are getting. I drove like a grandma for a full tank of mixed driving and I got high 22s. g260 and 3.73.

I wonder why your fuel economy is so much better than mine? I get *maybe* 23-24 on the highway with a g260 and a 3.46, which is not different enough to explain the delta.

I thought you got rid of the m52 car, anyways are you talking about intake sound on m/s5x? Do you have the bimmerworld intake boot? I can't hear my intake and I want to change that. (It's a stock quiet exhaust)

I want a sixth speed. I know, I know... all the blah blah blah, these car's don't need it... yadda yadda. I commute, bitches. Having the RPM's be sub 3,000 sometime would be nice. Because unlike Dinan, I don't drive slow on the freeway. I'm usually in the 3,700rpm range to and from work with an S50 to ZF320 and S2.93 gears out back.

With a full tank of freeway my m42 would get 33, I can even get 29.5 in the eta.

And you'd be wrong. I made it from Ticaboo UT to Boulder CO (460mi) on ONE tank of gas in an E36 325i. That worked out to 31mpg average, at 80-90mph the whole time. I was on track to get 33 but I hit traffic around Georgetown.

I've done MANY trips in my M3 averaging 30+ mpg, but 35 is my best.

In my M20/5spd/4.10 powered E30 I routinely averaged 27mpg going to the track, and that motor was chugging oil like a motherfucker.

So yea....you are wrong.
