What do you think of royal purple fluids?

Hello e30 lovers!! i have recently done a complete engine rebuild on my e30 cabrio and i want to replace ALL of my fluids. i have been using ROYAL PURPLEoil and i love it! i want to replace my engine oil, trans fluid, differential fluid, steering fluid, and brake fluid. so how do you guys feel about me using all Royal purple fluids for these? I heard redline is a pretty good trans fluid. anybody have experience with Royal Purple products? I AM NOT A REP FOR ROYAL PURPLE. I AM SIMPLY A COLLEGE STUDENT WANTING THE BEST POSSIBLE FLUIDS FOR MY E30. please tell me what you guys think is the best.

For further info. i just completely rebuilt my m20.

Overpriced and not worth it junk.
I had ROYAL PURPLE in my trans. It would lock me out of second gear in the cold. No beuno.
    Redline fixed that right quick.

Upgrade to a better base oil
Use ATE Super blue for your brakes
Use the recommended ATF for your power steering
Valvoline with LSD additive works great for the diff
And stop trying to peddle ROYAL PURPLE. It's overpriced lower quality garbage that needs to have the most possible hits to this website so that James can make more money than ROYAL PURPLE should.

complete waste of money. I nearly shat myself when my buddy dropped 100 bucks to change his oil in his mark 4 jetta.

Well I had redline in my trans and I felt a noticeable improvement when I put royal purple in. For gear oil it's about the same price as redline so I'm not sure why people are saying overpriced crap?

                For me, I prefer it.

Off topic, but someone told be about using ATF in the power steering pumps on old Mercedes....now you mention it here. What's the deal with that, am I really that much of a newb to not know about using ATF as power steering fluid?

It's what our power steering systems are designed to use. On the power steering cap it says "atf only"

As for royal purple I've heard too much bad publicity about it to use it in my cars anymore. I used it once and just seemed like oil to me.

Fuk, thought "Peasant Purple" would fix my grinding second. HAving the same lock out issues now and not just in the cold! Spent waaay too much on that B.S.; I'm trying Redline next time
