Anyone have suggestions on what I should do?

I love my e30, but I dont know if this needs a total repaint or if it can be touched up and look good. This is a result of someone f'ing it up after removing rust. I was thinking I might be able to get away with paintscratch.com kit or something.

Pictures below of the car up close with the areas that had rust and were filled. Then are some pictures of how it sits. Dont know if I am just that OCD.

    Let me know guys!

Get it repainted man. Archie just got his car painted for $580 and a little bodywork was even done. Sounds like a good enough deal .

        No question here, Repaint.

okay. so touch up I guess is out of the question.

I wanted to try to keep the original paint to some extent, that is why I was asking about touch up if I sanded down that filler stuff.

I could always source different panels/doors, but that defeats the purpose of keeping original VIN stickers.

Question is now where to paint. I realistically want to spend around $1500 for a base/clear. I want to use the rest of my money for suspension/other stuff

If you don't want a whole respray you could just have certain parts repainted. Sometimes the paint doesn't match too well though.

I would suggest a full respray. Just bring it to Maaco and they can paint for cheap. But get the paint job with clear coating.

If those are the only problem spots, I would bring it to a couple local paint shops and get some quotes on just fixing/painting those areas.

All non-metallic paints, including alpine II on the E30 are single stage. You should have a problem just getting those areas repainted as white is the easiest to color match.

There's no way your going to match new single stage to old ratty single stage. Paint the whole car. Im working on a full repaint on my e34, doing all the prep and paying a friend to spray it. I should come in around 8-900 using good quality paint.. Should be cheaper for you with single stage, but I would go with single stage + a few coats of clear
