    Aftermarket E30 Body Kits

What's the general consensus on the Reiger fiberglass body kits as far as ease of installation on pre 88 E30s?

Most say that they are for 84-91 but I know that the OEM plastic bumper swap requires heavy modification on the pre-88s but I was curious if it requires the same amount of hassle to install the aftermarket body kits.

Besides the fact of how ugly they are, they take quite a bit of work to make fit, as with almost all fiberglass kits.

OEM or bust if you want quality.

Unless your talking Alpina, AC, etc

I thought I ws getting a deal on my reiger GTS front and when I got it, it was just a shell no mounting tabs no nothing. I got it really cheap probably from another owner that couldnt do anything with it, but I am cosidering do the plastic bumper swap, I know the airdams are a shitload easier to find than trying to find one in good shape for a diving board car. I dont know what I am going to do with my bumper I have it standing up in the corner in my room and it will probably stay there for a while. I am waiting to do most of my exterior stuff, when I can afford a paintjob which is still a ways off, but its a surefire way creating a sleeper.

so do you have an extra gts front bumper laying around? would you consider selling for cheap?

anyhow, i have the rieger gts kit. they arent that hard to trim and mount, it just takes time like anything else. it is definately a huge upgrade from stock diving boards. and the gts kit will fit any e30 besides the m3, regardless of year or model.

straight6pwr - What kind of modification did it require to get the Regier kit on? Anything major or any special tools needs to complete the job?
