I have a 91 318iS, went to smog my car and failed... Specifically failed at 15mph test. my HC and NOX are high. Passed my 25mph test without problems. Can someone explain why? Thanks!

with both Nox and HC high I am pretty sure it was a cat issue. Get that bad boy seriously hot and get it on the machine while it is hot.CCW- when every second counts... The police are just minutes away!Comment

Don't put alcohol in your gas tank before the smog: it raises NOx. Change your oil, spark plugs, put in good gas, and run around for a day or two and seriously drive the car really hard before the smog. If you has a wait time before you can getyour car smogged, drive around more. Get that cat hot as feck.world renown Harry Potter expert

Well I guess that being said.. I really need to get my cat really hot... Fresh spark plugs just 3 weeks ago, she gets 91 octane. But I need to change oil.. Thanks a lot yo!! Im gonna try again next week..Comment

Ya my car didnt pass smog either. The guy didnt buy that me resonator was my cat.
