    Ice racing?

Has anyone heard of or done the ice racing that the CCA clubs put on? How do you get signed up, and what do you need to have done to the car? From what I understand, you can basically race anything....

Just wondering if anyone had more info. I won't be getting any real track days in as the BMW won't be on the road in time, so I want to get some ideas for winter with the Honda.

i did it this winter with the boston chapter. its fun in an IX with blizzaks, it sucked in my car with all seasons in front and shitty snows in back. i barely could move. so. unless your gonna run some studded snows or something, i dont suggest it.

Really? Steve Hazard, president of the boston chapter, said he was running an Acura Integra...I'm planning on running my beater, a 93 accord. I guess I could at least give one a shot, and if it sucks, whatever, right?

Fuck that- its fun if you know how to drive. :D That was my parents' IX by the way, wicked fun with the blizzaks. You gotta love beating the shit out of evo's and wrx's with a 15 year-old 170hp sedan.

So yeah, definitely do it. One of the cool things about it is that you can drive on the practice course as much as you want between your timed runs.

Make sure your heater works well though, it gets really freakin cold out there.

There we go. We need a bunch of us to go out and rip it up. I'll be a good match with my honda, even though we won't be in the same class.

I'd like to try it, but there isn't enough ice and snow around this area for anything like that. :(
