mm good point.. but i happen to know that these HID's are blue... and yess I did quite a bit of the work to my e30, including the engine swap.. and I would love to buy a wrecked m3 for the parts but most of my money in the past year has been going to the state or college..

Your e30 sounds to nice to trade plus sounds like you put a lot of work and time in it to make it the way you want. e36 m3 anyone can get and it wont be special to ya

E30 M50 will keep up with an S50 E36 M3. Ask me how I know ;) Though I'm not sure if the 95 M3 came with an S50.Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+Comment

Judging by your list you've put a lot of time/money into the e30, so if you feel it's time to move on to a different project and/or challenge, then do so... But if your content with the e30 and enjoy the direction it's heading in, keep it.
Yeah the e36 will be faster, stop sooner, be semi updated looking and have 5 lugs already, but that e30 will put a fucking smile on your face guaranteed. E30's have souls and like to pleasure their masters hahasigpicComment

Book value/taxes & insurance on the M3 are significantly higher. Oh wait your in NH, you don't care about that stuff... Make the trade. If you don't like it, clean it up real nice and sell it. Then take a road trip tp FL or some other rust free area and buy an S50 swapped e30. It's not like you loose money on this deal, unless the M is crap.Comment

At the end of the day I think you'd be happier with the e30, but at least take the e36 for a test drive, see how you like it. The e36 m3 is a great car and a lot of fun. I would be wary of the build date though, if it's an early 95 make sure the valve retainers were changed. Also I saw no mention of bushings or cooling system being touched, both notorious weak points of the e36. It may be that he doesn't want to pay for the maintenance coming up and that's why he's looking to trade.88 325is - S52 powered

+1, E36 M3's are pretty much worthless. Unless they're super clean and/or rare, I don't see any reason to buy one over an E30. I would definitely keep your E30 considering they are increasing in value, and E36 Ms are plummeting.-AlexComment

I'd watch out for maintenance issues coming up on the e36. I love my 95 4dr e36 as a daily and wouldn't trade it but after a year of owning her she's really starting to get on my nerves with all the ridiculous crap that's breaking and falling apart.
it's voila not wala....Comment
