    or, not. geico sucks.
Point is if you're driving a performance automobile and enjoy the experience, and most are also looking for more HP....be willing to pay the consequences and not bitch about it.

If you were in a Corolla, Pruis, Civic Hybrid and were complaining fine. But it costs to have fun....deal with it. At least you are not in Europe, they are fans of driving too (even just for recreation) and have it much worse than us.

Gawd! It's finally a good time to own an ETA! ;)

No shit... My chipped ETA still gets 30 miles to the gallon. I was driving down in southern Oregon and nearly shit myself when I saw premium at $3.14. Up in the Portland area its around $2.80. I just broke a thirty dollar fill. My last fill was $31  .

          God damn gas prices...

$2.79 for 93 octane in Pearland, Texas..... that's just south of Houston, not in the buttcrack-of-no-where.

Filled up a Navigator yesterday, and that thing ate $65 worth of 89 octane.

              OHHHH GEEEEE!!!!
start complaining when it is costing you just over 100 euros about 120 dollars to fill your truck,
about 65 euros to fill my diesel E46 touring,
or it cost me 75 to fill my M3 this morning--- and S14s suk as on fuel economy.
I've been living this nightmare for years now here in germany. It sux but i just deal with it. The soldier here in germany pay half of what I pay on the US bases, but because I am a contractor for the army, i dont get the privilege of filling up there!!
sometimes it really sux here, but the no speedlimits make up for it a little, but that just burns more gas-- just cant win!

                Gas Prices

2.64 for regular @ Arco San Jose - South Thu
                Reported at 4:02 PM today

Thats price for regular which I never get.
Premuim is about .20 more than that, but this station is always the lowest price in South San Jose. They have people backed up in a line to get gas there.

                Just check here

Yeah but $100 of that is tax...makes up for not paying taxes in other places.

Anywho, its $3.07 for premium in La Jolla. And anyone posting from Oregon complaining about gas prices should state that every station has full service, that adds a lot of money.

one day there's going to be a mass suicide cult that demands the government lowers the prices of gas, even if it ends up costing the government money to supply gas. I can see it happening.

or, maybe, a huge fuckin riot, like, nation-wide, like the 60s watts riots, or the '92 rodney king riots.

something's going to happen, and when it does, it's going to be bad.

ALthough this has already been responded to... I just want to make it clear... Europeans are taxed EVERYWHERE! I am a dual citizen (england-us) lived in the the US all my life but visit my family in England every year. Out of their paychecks they typically loose 45-51% every year in taxes. You might think "Oh, well thats great because they have National Health Insurance". Well, it takes forever to get an appointment, especially for something like a surgery. My grandfather has had 3 surgeries on his hips (both have been replaced) and he has paid out-of-pocket for each one because otherwise the wait would have exceeded 2 years for each surgery and he didn't want to live with that kinda pain. Fortunately he has always saved his money.

Europeans are taxed atleast double what Americans are in every aspect, and no... it is not a better system by any stretch of the imagination otherwise I would be living there as opposed to here.

                              [/soap box rant]

Sounds like they have a screwed up version of our system. We get heavy income tax, 15% sales tax, and I just paid over $50usd to fill my tank, but the health care, while not perfect, is still pretty damn good. Most social systems here are relatively efficient, and the streets themselves are cleaner and more attractive that most U.S. cities.
