You know, all these teens on here (or post teens in their early twenties) are going to leave the e30 dream behind and hop into some 'sensible' cars. Of course, they'll put stickers and bike racks on those too for a few years, but then eventually stop that... We'll see them again in 20 years when they are going through a mid-life crisis or divorce trying to get back some of that youthful feeling... . .

I wouldn't worry (and I'm sure you dont) about what all the forum folk have to say about your new aquisistion. In reality , your taking insults from a crowd whose cars are worth, on average, no more than the cost of a tune, intake and exhaust for that jetta. Being a very happy owner of both an e30 and a mkv vw, I really can't understand where all the hate comes from. The jetta is superior to the e30 in every single aspect, but the e30 remains a cool, and somewhat iconic car. Enjoy your new ride, and disregard what all the people who drive the same car as an illegal immigrant washing dishes at a shitty diner have to say. Haters will always hate, and never forget , having an e30 entitles you to the ritht to dog on others with no bounds.

My best friend drives a 2010 GTI, and HE rags on people who drive nomTDi jettas. I sold VWs for bob penkhus in colorado springs and hated every one of them that i dumped on people. for the most part they're shit cars trying to pretend to be more than what they are, with expensive maintenance and parts

Jettas are legit, and made in Mexico. I don't follow the stereotype that Mexican labor is cheap, shitty work. Maybe its some good 'ol redneck Virgina racism, maybe not. But, You do realize that 90% of the newer homes in America were built by Mexican labor, and i have not heard of any major catastrophic failure of houses within the last, well, ever due to Mexican labor. And, on a similar note, the BMW's built in Spartenburg, are those still great BMW's as well? I mean, we all know American craftsmanship is sub par to German, right?
