Any Ideas on pulling out a bent rad support?

Well boys I fucked up big time. Ran over some shit, fucked the car up pretty good. Rad support is bent pretty good. The rad is pushed in far enough to keep the fan from moving. Could I just tie a fucking rope around a tree and yank that fucker out or what? No frame damage here boys just a beat to shit rad support.

Worst case scenario, you have to replace it. Might as well try pulling it out.

use a come a long / rachet straps. do not try to drive it out. you are not that accurate with your car. you will rip it out. put it around a big tree. chock the tires. e-brake. start cranking.

I'd just cut it and weld in a new one. remove your clutch fan for the time being. use your AC fan to cool the radiator.

My brother and i just put one in his car. Bought it from Bav auto, $500 plus like $100 to ship it plus he had to buy the piece behind the valance under the grill, another $500 plus another $!00 to ship it even though we ordered it at the same time. Two boxes , two shipping charges. OEM pieces though, fit was perfect

That's actually the "M3 Ryan" method I posted - credit goes to him.

Also, you'd think you can tug on the strap to do the job - but you get much more mechanical advantage if you tighten it up as far as it can go, and then, lean, kneel, sit, or bounce on the strap. (that's an only come-a-long trick for getting a stuck car out of a rut). It's a physics thing.

You can also rock the car back away from the strap(by pushing it, out of gear) if it's being stubborn. I guess body shops do the same thing, but with hydrolic rams and what not - it's common practice I hear in fixing cars after a small bump. No first hand knowledge. Body shop guys? Chime in?
