May be true but isn't very common problem for cars 03-up. Then again if you abuse a car.. stuff like this will break with time.

I found a seller who has a 2007 335i coupe, 6 speed, 37k miles... he is asking $24.5 but I might see if I can get it for $23k to $24k.

I am super tempted but wary due to the bullshit with the HPFP.

        Remarks? Opinions? :D
Are you in the San Francisco Bay Area? Shoot me a pm, I know a guy who goes to the Manheim lease return auctions in SF. Lease return prices are going anywhere from 18k - 24k depending on mileage (most was 60k) and transmission. Auto's = lower range shoot me a pm if you're interested I think he charges $1,000 + whatever the car costs but it appears to be way cheaper. This would only be for the 2008's though, as 07's already came up for most lease returns last year.

Rod bearing are a maintenance item on race cars. M3 is a race car. Change that shit...because racecar.

I'm looking for an e93 or e92 right now. 335i's are what that is.

I've driven and have rode in both e46m3's and the 335i and can tell you hands down the 335 is tons funner all over the rev range

E90 is the ugliest 3-series, I agree. That's why I'd never think of buying one.
The E92 on the other hand is one of my favorite looking cars atm. I can't wait to buy one.

I have to advocate the 135i if you don't need to extra 1 inch of legroom in the back. IMHO, the 135i is the best looking car BMW makes today, and it weighs a tad less. I also enjoy the rarity of the car. For every fifty E90/2s I see, I probably see one E82, and it's usually a 128i.

To the guy claiming 36 MPG on the highway... Get real, dude. Unless your car weighs 2500 lbs, you are not getting near that. If you are claiming that based off your OBC, you should probably stop doing that and recalibrate it.

The N54s do actually offer pretty good fuel consumption considering the amount of power they produce. This is thanks to the direct injection system. However, 25-28 is more realistic for highway driving, and 18-22 city depending on how you drive it.

One big issue that all DI (direct injection) engines have is hellacious carbon buildup on the intake valves. Had I known about this before I bought a car equipped with DI, I would have thought twice about purchasing it. No, seafoam doesn't help. The only real solution is to take off your intake manifod and scrub them clean. After that they will just get caked again. You can inject methanol to help keep them clean, but I haven't seen any proof that this works 100%.

                            Good luck finding a car!

you may want to do a little search on google about the 335i MPG with and with out mods.
motor week got 32 MPG on a bone stocker and they werent even trying.
but i guess they should get real also

                              cheers m8
